From Welschnofen | Nova Levante to the Messnerjoch hut

The route starts at the Welschnofen | Nova Levante cable car parking lot (1182 m). From there, follow path [3A] to hotel Rechenmachers, then continue along the "Nigertalweg | Sentiero Valle Nigra" to Nigerpass | Passo Nigra (1688 m). From the pass, take path [1] up to Messnerjoch hut (1930 m). Return the same way, or via trails [1B] and [15] to Nigerpass | Passo Nigra, and from there back to the village of Welschnofen | Nova Levante.

Short variant: Start in Welschnofen | Nova Levante, take the cable car to Frommer Alm hut, then follow path [1B] to Messnerjoch hut. Return the same way (duration: 1.5 h; ascent: 200 m; distance: 3.4 km).
