Holidays in the Ortler region

Be our guest in the national park region at the foot of the mighty Ortler mountain

Holidays in the Ortler region are characterised by the unique landscape surrounded by the Stilfserjoch National Park  and fourteen peaks of over 3,000 m. King Ortler (3,905 m) is the highest mountain in South Tyrol. Imposingly, it keeps watch over the villages of Sulden/Solda, Trafoi, Stilfs/Stelvio and Gomagoi. The expansive Stilfserjoch National Park can be enjoyed whilst hiking, climbing or during a visit to the naturatrafoi visitor’s centre.  The highest mountain pass in Italy, the Stilfserjoch pass, is another unforgettable holiday experience. Travel the more than 48 hairpin bends that wind their way upward.

Pure air, silence and wide open landscapes

In Solda, you breathe deeply. The air is clear, your gaze stretches far across glaciers and rugged ridges towering above 3,000 metres. You're in the heart of the Alps, in a genuine mountain village at 3,905 metres above sea level.

If you're looking for peace, you’ll find it on quiet trails, through woods where only the crunch of twigs underfoot breaks the silence. Cars stay at the end of the valley. From there, it’s just your own pace and the right moment to take in your surroundings.

The high-altitude air is low in pollen and ideal for anyone who wants to breathe more freely. Nature awakening accompanies you with every step. Walking among the trees, pausing in the forest or heading higher up becomes a simple act that feels good.
