Adventure ideas for autumn
18 October to 9 November 2025
Hiking through an Alpine pasture in autumn is a special experience: the leaves of the mixed forests slowly change colour, the distant view of the surrounding mountains is exceptionally clear, the autumnal light opens up completely new perspectives on the landscape. New varied insights into the life and culture of the South Tyroleans can be found in the series of events “Alpine tales”: between mid-October and the beginning of November the holiday regions of Gitschberg Jochtal and Natz-Schabs/Naz-Sciaves offer an autumnal adventure programme that revolves around tradition, enjoyment and healthy exercise. The selection ranges from cooking courses and the tasting of typical Alpine dishes such as Muas porridge to farm tours and herbs and legend walks. Or have you always wanted to learn the traditional card game “Watten”? Here you have the best opportunity to do so!
The “Alpine Tales” offer includes, in addition to an exciting weekly programme:
- 7 nights for the price of 6 in participating accommodations
- Free use of the Gitschberg cable cars in Maranza and Jochtal in Valles, as well as all public transport throughout South Tyrol
- Free ride on the Almbus shuttle to the Rodenecker-Lüsner Alp
