Guided hiking experience
ONLY IN GERMAN AND ITALIAN!
Together with our hiking guide, we set off into the heart of the Texelgruppe Nature Park, home to the largest high-alpine lake district in Europe.
Route description: We meet in Merano at the train station and take the bus to Pfelders. From there, we hike to the Falschnal Alm (1,871 m – approx. 50 min). We then follow trail no. 6 up to Falschnaljöchl (2,417 m) and continue to Spronser Joch (2,581 m). Walking time approx. 2 h 20 min. From here, the vast lake plateau opens up before us. We then descend in about 1 hour to the Oberkaser Alm (2,134 m) for a lunch break. Refreshed, we continue past the Kaser and Pfitscher Lakes, follow the Jägersteig path to Mutkopf (1,664 m) and further down to the Hochmut inn (1,360 m – walking time approx. 2.5 hours). From here, the Hochmut cable car takes us back to Dorf Tirol, followed by a bus ride back to our starting point in Merano.
Walking time, trail type & requirements: approx. 7 hours, moderately difficult mountain trail, excellent physical condition, surefootedness and a head for heights required.
