Trio di Parma & Simonide Braconi - Conservatory Bolzano

The Parma Trio will perform in Bolzano together with violist Simonide Braconi. Braconi is first viola soloist at La Scala in Milan and has been awarded prizes at various international competitions, including the 'Cologne' and 'Lionel Tertis' competitions in England. The Trio di Parma, established in 1990 at the Conservatorio 'A. Boito' in Parma, has won the most prestigious awards with its successes at the 'Vittorio Gui' International Competition in Florence, the International Chamber Music Competition in Melbourne, the ARD International Competition in Munich and the International Chamber Music Competition in Lyon. Furthermore, in 1994 the National Association of Music Critics awarded the Trio di Parma the ‘Abbiati Prize’ as the best chamber music ensemble. On the programme are the piano quartets op. 25 and op. 26 by Johannes Brahms.
