Begegnung mit Der Natur/Incontro con la natura - Exibition

At the Grieserhof in Bolzano, the St. Elisabeth Foundation presents the exhibition “Encounter with Nature”, dedicated to the artist Jette Christiansen. The initiative was born from the desire to create a space for dialogue between art, nature, and inner reflection — in line with the cultural and social commitment that has always characterized the Foundation. The exhibition brings together works from the past ten years, in which the artist explores the deep connection between human beings and landscape, between matter and perception. With courage — and perhaps a touch of provocation — Jette Christiansen describes her oil paintings as “untimely.” As long as no one can clearly define what “contemporary” truly means, the call for permanent modernity remains suspended. Unconcerned with trends or debates in the current art scene, Christiansen continues to follow her creative path with consistency — one of silence, authenticity, and attentive observation. The opening will be introduced by Christian Klotzner, President of the St. Elisabeth Foundation, with contributions from Leonhard Niedermair, Mathias Frei, and Thomas Mulser, Administrative Director of the Grieserhof. A refreshment reception will follow, offering a pleasant moment of exchange and conversation.
