When snowflakes sparkle in the winter sunlight, it’s time for a sweet homemade version.
Ingredients
40 pieces - 6 servings
260 g butter with the South Tyrolean seal of quality, room temperature
100 g icing sugar
1 tsp vanilla sugar
1 pinch of grated lemon zest
125 g flour with the South Tyrolean seal of quality
260 g corn starch
1 pinch salt
icing sugar for dusting
Preparation
Time to prepare: 1 h
Difficulty: easy
Line a baking tray with baking paper. Cream the softened butter with the icing sugar, vanilla sugar and lemon zest. Gently fold in the flour, corn starch and salt. Fill a piping bag with a star tip and pipe small stars onto the tray. Bake at 160 °C for about 12 minutes, then let cool and dust with icing sugar.
Dip the biscuits in melted chocolate and let them dry. Variation: Chill the dough 1 hour, roll it out, cut stars and bake. Let cool, fill with raspberry jam and dust with icing sugar.
