About the region

Meran and Environs is a region of contrasts. The craggy, impressive 3,000 m peaks of the Texelgruppe, the largest nature park in South Tyrol/Südtirol, form the backdrop of Meran, a city boasting Mediterranean flair, a grand spa and imperial pomp & circumstance. Don’t be surprised to see apples, wine, and even palm trees growing behind the protective wall formed by the Texelgruppe range.
