History: the farmhouse suite lives up to its name because the over 400 year old and historic 80 square metres have many stories to tell. The three separate bedrooms used to be strictly divided. The second room on the right was the “Buebmkommer”, where only boys were allowed to sleep in former times. Often there were up to 9 people in the room. The first room on the right was always the parents’ room and the left bedroom was always the “Madlkommer”. Only the girls were allowed to sleep there. Just above the kitchen on the ground floor was the so-called “Kuchlkommer” on the first floor. The “Dirnen” (maids) and the farmhands always had to sleep there. The “Kuchlkommer” used to be built higher than the other rooms, which is why no room in the flat is the same height. The historic, historical and diachronic farmhouse suite is a real diamond and absolutely invites the whole family to stay. P.S. the squeaking of the doors and the creaking of the floorboards are part and parcel of a historic, over 400-year-old farmhouse.

Location

About the region

Meran and environs region is full of surprising contrasts. In spring, you can ski in the morning on the Schnalstal glacier and cycle through apple orchards in the afternoon. While the peaks are still white, you can sit in the sun among palm trees and arcades along the Passer river. The mild climate, protected by the Texel group, fosters diverse and lush nature. The gardens of Trauttmansdorff Castle showcase the elegance of yesteryear, alongside the thermal baths and Belle Époque buildings. The valleys around Meran are full of paths, waterfalls and traditions, just waiting to be discovered. And if you love horses, a ride on a Haflinger is the way to go.
