The house has been breathing. For over half a century. Back then it was a butcher's, a mill, a bakery, a sawmill, a barn, a stable, a tavern, a coffee house. With eight rooms 1477 Reichhalter continues the history of the house up to the present and into the future. Martina and Andreas Heinisch open the doors to their café and restaurant. Travellers stop for a break, people step in and take a step back from their busy lives, souls get restored. Enjoy food and drink in good company, accurately chosen and carefully prepared.

About the region

Meran and environs region is full of surprising contrasts. In spring, you can ski in the morning on the Schnalstal glacier and cycle through apple orchards in the afternoon. While the peaks are still white, you can sit in the sun among palm trees and arcades along the Passer river. The mild climate, protected by the Texel group, fosters diverse and lush nature. The gardens of Trauttmansdorff Castle showcase the elegance of yesteryear, alongside the thermal baths and Belle Époque buildings. The valleys around Meran are full of paths, waterfalls and traditions, just waiting to be discovered. And if you love horses, a ride on a Haflinger is the way to go.
