Holidays in Latsch-Martelltal/Laces-Val Martello

Eventful holiday in the region of strawberries and glaciers

Glaciers, strawberries and culture await visitors to the Latsch-Martelltal/Laces-Val Martello holiday region. The main village of the region, Latsch/Laces, with its easygoing urban vibe, is the starting-off point for an eventful holiday. From here, a panoramic journey with the cable car to the mountain farming village of St. Martin im Kofel/San Martino al Monte is possible, as are longer journeys to the villages of Goldrain/Coldrano, Morter, Tarsch/Tarres or the idyllic Martelltal valley. The valley starts at 950 m above sea level and soars to its 3,769 m peak at the Cevedale glacier. It is part of the Stilfserjoch National Park and offers countless hiking and biking trails. The Strawberry Trail (Erdbeerweg) is a thematic walk through Europe’s highest interconnected strawberry farming region.
