Holidays in Lajen/Laion

Culture paths and panoramic views on the sunny plateau of the Eisacktal valley

Spectacular views of the Dolomite peaks await visitors to the sunny plateau of Lajen. In the birthplace of Walther von der Vogelweide, a Minnesang performer, the colourful natural splendour of changing trees unfolds in autumn, as do the white blossoms of cherry trees in springtime. At the entrance of the Val Gardena valley lies Lajen, an ideal starting point for hikes and mountain biking tours. In autumn, taverns offering Törggelen meals invite holidaymakers to sample wines and chestnuts, while the toboggan track, cross-country skiing trails and nearby ski areas are the ingredients for a varied and rewarding winter  holiday.
