Close by to the city of Bruneck is the municipality of Kiens. Member villages include Ehrenburg/Casteldarne, St. Sigmund/San Sigismondo, Hofern/Corti and the main town of Kiens. Holidays in Kiens are perfect for hiking  in the nearby high and mid elevation ranges with tours ranging from easy to difficult. During the return journey, why not take a dive in the Issinger See lake located below Hofern. In winter, Kiens is an ideal starting point for snowshoe hikes in untouched nature or for excursions to the nearby Kronplatz ski mountain, which is easily accessible by public transportation.
