Mountain biking in the Dolomites UNESCO World Heritage Site
The circular bike trail around the Sella massif leads across four Dolomite passes
"No mountain range offers a more stunning panorama than the Dolomites. The Alpine scenery around the Sella massif is one of the most beautiful mountain landscapes of the world and is designated a World Heritage Site by UNESCO. For bike fans, this is a fantastic adventure that combines sport with unforgettable nature and offers unique culinary delights in typical mountain inns.
The Sellaronda Mountain Bike Tour leads through the four valleys of Alta Badia, Val Gardena, Arabba and Val di Fassa, which encircle the Sella massif. Depending on the direction of travel, riders traverse 53 to 58 km and tackle 3000 to 3400 m of altitude difference. The four Dolomite passes Grödnerjoch pass, Campolongo pass, Pordoijoch pass and Sellajoch pass are ascended by cable car and lift, which means the mountain bike tour around the Sella massif can be accomplished in one day. You can complete the route on your own, of course, though we recommend doing it in the company of a mountain bike guide.
