From the mountain station, the hike starts with a gentle descent in the direction of Pawigler Wirt, passing the vigilius mountain resort. Trail no. 1, also known as the “Spring Trail,” leads to the junction with trail no. 34a. This path climbs steeply for a short stretch to a forest road, which takes you directly to the Bärenbadalm.
Here, trail no. 2 begins and continues as trail no. 9 toward the little Vigiljoch church. Nearby, you'll find the “Sessellift” guesthouse, which can be reached via trail no. 4. Trail no. 8 starts here and leads to a panoramic viewpoint in just five minutes.
To return to the cable car mountain station, take trail no. 8 back to the chairlift station and ride the chairlift down.
Alternatively, you can follow trail no. 34 to return directly to the Vigiljoch cable car mountain station.
Parking is available at the valley station of the Vigiljoch cable car. The fee is €6.00 per day for cable car users. Since the number of parking spaces is limited, we recommend using public transport to reach the cable car.
