Sports and culture abound near the sunken church tower in the Lake Reschensee

In any season, the lake is the backdrop for exciting activities .

You will almost have to look twice on holiday at Lake Reschensee as you view the lonely church tower protruding from the water or ice for the first time. It appears so illusory and fascinating like something from a film. Around the tower, an area bordering three countries, the Reschenpass holiday region includes the villages of Reschen/Resia, Graun/Curon, and St. Valentin/San Valentino, connected together by the antique Roman trading route, the Via Claudia Augusta. Are you a bike fan? Then you've come to the right place. It’s not just in the valley that cycle tours lead through the landscape, you can also pursue your favourite sport on adventurous trails at altitude.

And if you are looking for that special kick: holidays at the Reschensee lake are ideal for water and wind sports, be it sailing in summer or snowkiting on the frozen lake. Less developed and quiet are the Langtaufers and Rojen side valleys, excellently suited for extended excursions into nature, be it winter hiking or cross-country skiing.

Experience winter in the Vinschgau valley

Snowkiting, archery, stargazing: at the Reschenpass, winter is diverse

With a colourful kite, skis or a snowboard on your feet, you whizz past the sunken tower in the Lake Reschensee and on the Lake Haidersee . If this winter sport is too fast-paced for you, you can skate a few laps. Or you can explore the winter landscape, which is covered in deep snow, on a toboggan or cross-country skis. The Rojental valley or the Langtauferer Tal valley are ideal for picturesque snowshoe hikes. Your most romantic excursion destination is the astronomical observatory at the Maseben mountain hut, while the archery circuit in the Talai forest guarantees an enjoyable winter experience for young and old alike.

Winter adventures on the Reschenpass

Reschensee lake is considered to be a true kite paradise. A more relaxed activity is ice skating on the Haidersee lake, tobogganing in the Talai forest or on the Ochsenberg, as well as cross-country skiing through the bordering three countries and in Langtaufers/Vallelunga.
