On every first Sunday from May to October, the mountain huts and inns around the Hirzer hiking area open their doors for a special day of taste and enjoyment. Savoury dumplings, homemade schlutzkrapfen, sweet cakes and the classic South Tyrolean cold-cut board – here you experience alpine cuisine at its finest.

Live music, a cosy hut atmosphere and sunny terraces with wide views over Meran and the Passeiertal Valley add to the experience. On this day, the cable cars and lifts offer reduced fares, making it easy and relaxed for you to reach the hiking area.
