Wine and South Tyrolean cuisine perfectly combined in this unique creation: the South Tyrolean wine cake.

250 g soured cream butter with the South Tyrolean seal of quality
250 g flour with the South Tyrolean seal of quality
250 g sugar
4 free-range eggs with the South Tyrolean seal of quality
1 tsp cinnamon
1 pack baking powder
1 pack vanilla sugar
pinch of salt
1 tbsp cocoa powder
a few drops of lemon juice
125 ml red wine
Preparation
Time to prepare: 30 min.
Cream the soft butter, sugar, vanilla sugar, egg yolks, cinnamon, cocoa powder and lemon juice until fluffy. Gradually stir in the red wine, then the flour mixed with baking powder. Finally fold in the stiff, salted egg whites. Grease the cake tin (26 cm diameter) with butter and bake in a fan oven at 150 °C for 50 minutes.
If desired, you can also stir in finely chopped cooking chocolate.
