The taste most people know from real Italian pesto is absolutely delicious in sweets.
Ingredients

2 egg whites
140 g icing sugar
1 pinch of salt
125 g pine nuts
10 g vanilla sugar
25 wafers
Preparation
Time to prepare: 40 min.
Difficulty: easy
Whisk the egg whites, icing sugar and salt over a warm water bath until the mixture becomes thick and creamy, then fold in the pine nuts and flavour with vanilla sugar. Using a spoon, place small mounds of the mixture onto the wafers and bake in the preheated oven.
Baking temperature: 120 °C, baking time: about 40 minutes.
You can also make pine nut kisses without the wafers. Variation :Walnut Kisses: Instead of pine nuts, use coarsely chopped walnuts.
