In the expansive southern valley, visitors can marvel at vineyards and castles, as well as apple orchards and idyllic villages. Further north, near the state capital, admire traditional mountain farms and craggy Alpine peaks. Both peace and a flair for the dramatic are on hand in Bolzano and Environs. South Tyrol/Südtirol’s capital is a vibrant city bustling with activity, whilst nearby isolated mountain villages and quiet tributary valleys offer respite.
