The long history of the Lechtlhof can be felt in the large and comfortably furnished apartment Plattei. The apartment is furnished with lots of wood, is accessible at ground level and is therefore particularly suitable for families with small children.

Hotel description
Whether you fancy gentle hikes or demanding mountaineering, whether you want total relaxation or take an interest in local culture - Lechtlhof farm and its surroundings offer something for anyone. Easy access for people with special needs! Ours is one of the very few holiday-on-the-farm places in South Tyrol to offer an apartment „Malettes“ with unhampered access for people with mobility problems. The second apartment, „Plattei“, is also accessed from the ground floor and features cosy furniture made from spruce and arolla pine, which is said to support good sleep. Our farm also includes a sunbathing lawn and playground for all ages. We hope you enjoy your stay with us and look forward to welcoming you on our farm.

About the region

The sunniest valley in the Alps as well as the highest mountain in South Tyrol, ‘King’ Ortler, are but a stone’s throw away in Vinschgau, the westernmost part of South Tyrol. Character and creativity in this border region are expressed by the unique products and rich cultural and artistic treasures to be discovered against the backdrop of contrasting and dramatic landscapes.


The waters of the Reschensee lake guard the secrets of a famous sunken church. A view out across the lake towards its lonely church tower, surrounded by snowkiters or sailboats, exemplifies the blending of culture and possibilities for activity on holidays in Vinschgau. Discover for yourself the varied landscapes bathed in light as well as the creativity and peculiarity of the people of Vinschgau during a ride on the Vinschgau Train. View numerous castles and forts in the wide and sun-spoiled valley, dubbed the patchwork quilt of South Tyrol. As you travel further along, the Ortler peak appears larger than life. Hop out and enjoy the bounty that surrounds you, from Vinschgau apricots to specialties like Paarl bread. Stroll along the Waalwege paths or bike to Glorenza/Glurns, the smallest city in Italy, where you can head back in time to the middle ages.
