Hotel description

Holiday on a apple farm in the South of South Tyrol close to Bolzano, a perfect possibility to spend a special, inidividually planned holiday and enjoy the astonishing nature of the Etschtal. In the idyllic little village Perdonig, located above Appiano on the “Südtiroler Weinstrasse” is our farm “Schmalzerhof” in the midst of the Alps on a height of 700 m and offers an inforgettable holiday experience.

About the region

Along the Alto Adige Wine Road, spring comes earlier and autumn lingers longer. The sun warms the hills, one vineyard follows another, and the scents change with the seasons. Wine has deep roots here, but it is not the only local product: lemons and figs grow alongside a few hardy olive trees that can withstand the mountain climate. The cellars embody the character and dedication of the people who work the land. Some are more classic, offering a real glimpse into history, while others have embraced clean lines and modern materials. However, they all share the same core values: a laid-back welcome and a taste of something authentic.
