Apartment 2017
Our holiday flats were built on the site of the old hay barn. All three have in common that they are spacious, close to nature and timelessly furnished. The furnishing style, however, differs according to the year from which they also take their name. The 2017 flat, named after the year in which farmer Gerlinde took over the farm, is playful and highly modern, with lots of oak wood and white and grey tones.
Max up to 4 guests
Apartment 1935
Our holiday flats were built on the site of the old hay barn. All three have in common that they are spacious, close to nature and timelessly furnished. The furnishing style, however, differs according to the year from which they also take their name. 1935 is the year in which Gerlinde's ancestors bought the Sommersbergerhof. The furnishings in old wood and larch are original, traditional, but never old-fashioned.

Apartment 1968
Our holiday flats were built on the site of the old hay barn. All three have in common that they are spacious, close to nature and timelessly furnished. The furnishing style, however, differs according to the year from which they also take their name. The 1968 holiday flat refers to the 1960s, when Gerlinde's uncle Seppl took over the farm. It has a neutral design and is furnished with lots of pine wood, which has a soothing effect.

Hotel description
Our three holiday flats, all with spacious loggia, were completely newly built. They are the ideal retreat for people in search of peace and relaxation. The furnishings are modern, but also designed with great attention to detail, showing the development of our farm over time. Holidays in Albeins/Albes - mountain, valley & farm life At the farm: Look forward to very special farm holidays! A warm host family, many tasty products from our own production and - if you like - insights into the everyday life of a typical South Tyrolean fruit farm, where there is always plenty to do, even in winter. Serve yourself from our herb and vegetable garden and use our barbecue area on balmy summer evenings. Absolute highlight at the Sommersbergerhof: the outdoor pool with sunbathing lawn! On the mountain: Our village Albeins/Albes is located at the foot of the Plose, which belongs to the famous Dolomites and is a true hiker's paradise. For those who prefer two wheels, we are the ideal starting point for bike tours on the surrounding mountains. We will gladly reveal our favourite tours to you! In winter: Within sight of the Sommersbergerhof is the Plose ski area, which belongs to the well-known Dolomiti Superski ski association. There is also a toboggan run here and not far away, at the Passo Erbe, you can go cross-country skiing. Sun worshippers can enjoy a glass of wine and the fabulous view of the surrounding mountains. In the valley: Nearby Brixen is surrounded by vineyards and offers a variety of restaurants for every taste. Lovers of art and culture will certainly find what they are looking for here. And for those who simply want to unwind, we recommend our green garden, the pool and our library.

About the region

Starting from Brennerpass and extending to a hint of the Mediterranean in Bolzano/Bozen, the high peeks, gentle hills and dazzling valleys of Brixen and environs unfold with their characteristic apples, wine and chestnuts. Southern flair, enchanting cities and authentic South Tyrolean traditions await you during your holiday in the Valley of Trails.

Trails connect. North and south, villages and small cities, mountains and valleys, and landscapes both cultural and natural. In the region Brixen and environs, everything revolves around the trails that call out to be followed and discovered during your holiday. The thematic diversity of hiking possibilities extend from simple, family-oriented hikes to challenging high-altitude ascents, and from educational walks to traditional trails. In the cities of Brixen, Klausen/Chiusa and Sterzing/Vipiteno, whispers of the Mediterranean and a hint of urbanity are well-worth the trip. Shining with rich history, beautiful attractions and a successful mix of customs and innovation. The origins of a characteristic South Tyrolean tradition come alive in Brixen and environs: Every year during fall as part of Törggelen, young wines are sampled along with a series of speciality dishes and chestnuts in small Buschenschänken farmhouse inns.
