In the middle of the Ridnaun valley and easy to reach by car, our farm, the Oberauerhof, is situated in a sunny, quiet location (1,365 m) surrounded by a magnificent mountain landscape. It is an ideal place for your dream holiday all year round. Guided day trips to the Landesbergbaumuseum at the Schneeberg with historical Schaustollen. In bad weather, a visit to our museums is worthwhile: Landesmuseum für Jagd und Fischerei in the beautiful baroque castle of Wolfsthurn in Mareit or the castle Reifenstein. We make horse-drawn sleigh rides. A ride with our Haflingern past the lush green meadows and picturesque villages is an unforgettable holiday experience. The children are in the fresh air with the animals or on the newly designed playground with Indianerzelt. Thus, the parents can also enjoy properly. We spoil our guests with farm products (eggs, milk and in summer fresh herbs and salads from our own garden).

About the region

For travellers from the North, Sterzing/Vipiteno and environs is the gateway to South Tyrol. This picturesque town respects traditions and the rhythm of the seasons. The narrow streets are paved in stone, framed by houses that look like illustrations from a storybook. Here, history is woven into everyday life. The surrounding castles, with their towers and imposing walls, still seem to watch over the valley. On a clear day, the Alps dominate the horizon and the landscape is illuminated in sharp relief.
