The Gummererhof is situated at 600 metres above sea level to the west of the ancient diocesan town of Bressanone/Brixen, surrounded by leafy chestnut groves and fruitful vineyards. The town is within quick and easy reach of the farm (1.5 km). You can spend your well-deserved holiday here at the Gummererhof and on a morning enjoy a delicious farmer’s breakfast in the antique farmhouse parlour. There’s lots for your children to do at the Gummererhof, with plenty of games and toys, and they can get to know and love our pets and run around to their hearts content in the great outdoors or play in the nearby woods. Our farm is the ideal base for hiking in the Bressanone/Brixen basin, in the hills with the villages of Tils, Pinzagen, Tschoetsch and Gereuth or in the high mountains to lake Radlsee or the Karspitze mountain. In autumn you can also help out with the grape harvest or indulge in the ancient South Tyrolean tradition of Toerggelen (celebration of the new wine).

The guest rooms at the Gummererhof are furnished in the rustic style, just as you would expect from a traditional farmhouse. Nevertheless no stone has been left unturned when it comes to your comfort. Every room has a bath, shower, WC, satellite TV and balcony. On a morning you can enjoy a hearty, delicious breakfast in the farmhouse parlour. Fresh milk and eggs, coffee or tea, bacon, cheese, marmalade and juices from our cellar and fresh bread rolls from the baker await you.

In Brixen/Bressanone and environs, history and modern life walk side by side. For centuries, this valley has been a crossroads: emperors, artists and merchants have passed through, leaving visible footprints. The Hofburg palace reveals the power of the prince-bishops, while the alleys of the old town wind between palaces and cafés. In the surrounding area, discover Klausen/Chiusa, loved by Dürer, and the waterfalls of the Gilfenklamm gorge. Malga Fane is an Alpine village that seems to be frozen in time. Autumn is Törggelen season: new wine, chestnuts and time spent together enjoying traditional pursuits. The white wines of the Eisacktal/Valle Isarco really complete the experience.
