Speikboden
In the mornings your first glance might wander South – this is where the hiking and skiing area Speikboden is located. Far on its mountain tops the lifts reflect the sun, and you can launch your next mountain adventure in your head: a trip above 2.000 mtrs where almost all of South Tyrols peaks come into a panoramic sight.
We consider an outing to the Castle of Tures, in just a few hundred metres distance from the entrance of the skiing area. It’s an exciting tour to kids and grown ups when you listen to the guides’ stories of ancient living inside the medieval castle. Refresh at the castle’s cafeteria.
Just a few steps from your bedroom’s window and patio there’s little stonhenge and an outdoor fire place. Youth groups are very welcome to spend their evenings at the bonfire.

Mühlegg
No balcony, no problem. This room is a little mystery. On the one hand, you want to sit and observe everything that happens (or doesn’t, when it comes to the quiet of the massive mountains) in front of this beautiful panoramic window. On the other hand, this room is just so special, that it’s worth a long look around. When it’s not used as a regular room for two, we slide off the wooden panels, and the room turns into a super pretty wooden bunk bedroom for six guests. Regular luxury shower and amenities included, of course.
What else happens in Mühlegg, the village, not only the room? Check it out: in only walking distance there are some regional treasures: a wood carver’s cabin, where you can buy locally handmade souvenirs. A museum of gemstones, which were found in the highest mountains of the valley. A short hike for families and kids to the mystic waterfalls close by.

RENT OUT THE COMPLETE HOUSE – GROUP TRAVEL

We have a couple of ideas why you should come to Valley Aurina together with your family and friends or maybe with your co-workers. It is because there’s so much adventure out there. We hardly find the time to try it all. Let’s try and give you an idea of some summer activities. If you like trendy adventure sports, get a go on your bicycle. Numerous trails - more and less exhausting – are to be explored. Ask for local guides if you would like to make sure to find the best routes. Try the water adventures in one of our natural streams, such as canyoning or rafting. You might go rock climbing, mountain climbing, paragliding, horseback riding, we know the guides for all your favorite outdoor adventures. For those who seek the quiet version of getting to know the valley, there are uncounted kilometres of hiking trails. Some start right in front of Koasa-Hof.
Let’s not forget the beautiful Valley Aurina Winters. Close by (900mtrs) there is the next skiing area, Klausberg. Speikboden, 9 km, can be easily reached by bus. You can also find many Nordic slopes, guided tours with snowshoes or hiking trails in winter. Try out a fairy-tale like ride on a horse-carried sleigh. And, of course, or region is known for ski climbing tours all around. Last, the beautiful icefalls of the coldest areas of the valleys close by are inviting spots for ice climbers. Enjoy your winter adventures.
This is why we would like to offer you our complete house. You may use the kitchen facilities, check in the rooms you like, organize your vacation just along your own rhythm. Fares on request

Dreiherren
This is where you might observe the magical glow of the mountains when the sun goes down. The peaks of a mountain called Dreiherrenspitz refelect the sun at dawn. Its name honors the three regions that come to a boarder here: Salisburg, Eastern Tyrol and South Tyrol. We try to respect the regional thought and used constructive materials only of origins we know and trust: the wooden floor is made from our own trees, the marble was carefully chosen from a quarry in South Tyrol and the garments were made in Bruneck/Brunico.
In case you will drive direction Dreiherrenspitz/Picco Tré Signori don’t miss a train guided tour inside the mines of Prettau/Predoi, and be informed about the heritage of Valley Aurina’s mining tradition.

Ahrntal
There is a little valley in between the two peeks which you will spot from your bedroom window. It is called Ahrntal, just like the main valley we live in. We consider hiking a few hours up, because you probably will be all alone in this epic and untouched region. Too lonely for you? Ask Markus, he will be your tour companion. What he will bring along might be useful away from trails: a traditional long hiking stick made of wood. Give it a try.
Once you’re done hiking we would like to inform you about our regional museums. Without a lot of effort you might enjoy a pleasant half an hour in each of them and learn about fauna and flora, geographic realities and regional wood crafting art.
Talking about art. The fountain in fron of your window was carved by a close by artist. Enjoy the fresh drinking water.

Klausberg
This is the place where you take advantage of the rare evening sun. Lucky you who rent out this room. Enjoy a warm seat of your balcony while watching the kids on the boulder wall. Above, the pretty wooden cabin might be a sunny spot, too.
Close to the hiking and skiing area Klausberg you will find a valuable museum of ancient mining traditions of Valley Aurina. Take yourself some time to visit this little gemstone to find out about the shaping of this region. Right across the street there is another documentary about prehistoric worship and cult. It won’t take a lot of time to admire this artistic place of information. Last, have a classic cappuccino inside the third heritage building of the village of Steinhaus/Cadipietra at the restaurant Steinhauswirt.

Hotel description

How to get there The guest house Koasa Hof is situated in Valley Aurina, which is a valley aside the Valley Pusteria of South Tyrol in North Italy. In 1846 E. A. Schaubach, an entrepreneur of alpine research of the 19th century, described the Ahrntal Valley as a fork: three neighbouring valleys depart from the main valley Aurina. Asides there lie Valley Riva, Valley Selva dei Molini, and Valley Rio Bianco. So how can you reach Mühlegg/Molini of Valley Aurina? The very sweet spot of the guest house Koasa Hof is located 1050 metres above sea level on the Northern side of the valley. Good to know: here, the sun shines morning till evening. Travelling by car you’ll leave the motorway at Brixen/Bressanone Nord and follow the route signs to Pustertal/Val Pusteria. You’ll take the main road until the town of Bruneck/Brunico. This is where the entrance of Ahrntal Valley turns off. There are still 26 kilometres more to go until reaching Mühlegg/Molini. Those using public transport travel by train to Bruneck/Brunico. The train station is situated close to the city hospital. From here the busses of the 450 line depart every 15 minutes direction Valley Aurina. Once arrived at Sand in Taufers/Campo Tures you’ll find yourself at the village where pharmacy, swimming arena and drug store are closest. You’ll get off at the bus stop of Mühlegg: From here the building of Koasa Hof can be spotted.
