Since April 2025, the new wine boutique hotel “Castel Sallegg Suites” has been welcoming guests to the historic Leisenhof in the heart of Kaltern. From here you can enjoy a spectacular view of the picturesque village and the shimmering Lake Kaltern. History meets contemporary elegance in 15 individually designed rooms and suites. Every detail of the interior tells of the fascinating life stories of the ancestors of the Counts of Kuenburg, while modern comfort and stylish design blend together seamlessly. Some of the suites even have their private spa area for a particularly relaxing escape. The historic wine estate breathes the aura of its rich past, masterfully blending tradition and modernity. Pure relax in the elegant outdoor swimming pool overlooking the enclosed Leisenpuiten vineyard, one of the estate’s prime locations. The newly opened Vineria—with its vinotheque and bistro—invites you to discover the estate’s own wines and immerse yourself in the authentic Kaltern lifestyle.

About the region
