Hotel description

The Anigglhof - character by rural , homey and personal style. In the heart of the mountains of King Ortler and Piz Sesvenna , in the Rhaetian triangle Switzerland , Austria and South Tyrol. Marked by artful craft and the warmth of wood , our rooms are beautifully decorated and peaceful . Timeless is well located for relaxing. With local and national courts and loving service, we try every day to pamper new. The Slingia/Schlinig arises for our hikers as a small paradise in the mountains dar. The area around the Watles is a showpiece of nature. It fascinates with a royal view of the glacier of the Ötztal , Stubai Alps and the Ortler region . Walking along the many small mountain lakes provide a sense of freedom. In winter, the Watles presented as an attractive and family- friendly ski area , from where you overlook the whole upper Val Venosta/ Vinschgau valley with its fascinating mountain world. In contrast, our cross-country skiers attracts the Almpfad trail through the snow-covered valley on the Malga Slingia/Schliniger Alm , where you can enjoy the idyllic winter landscape majestically .

About the region

The sunniest valley in the Alps as well as the highest mountain in South Tyrol, ‘King’ Ortler, are but a stone’s throw away in Vinschgau, the westernmost part of South Tyrol. Character and creativity in this border region are expressed by the unique products and rich cultural and artistic treasures to be discovered against the backdrop of contrasting and dramatic landscapes.

The waters of the Reschensee lake guard the secrets of a famous sunken church. A view out across the lake towards its lonely church tower, surrounded by snowkiters or sailboats, exemplifies the blending of culture and possibilities for activity on holidays in Vinschgau. Discover for yourself the varied landscapes bathed in light as well as the creativity and peculiarity of the people of Vinschgau during a ride on the Vinschgau Train. View numerous castles and forts in the wide and sun-spoiled valley, dubbed the patchwork quilt of South Tyrol. As you travel further along, the Ortler peak appears larger than life. Hop out and enjoy the bounty that surrounds you, from Vinschgau apricots to specialties like Paarl bread. Stroll along the Waalwege paths or bike to Glorenza/Glurns, the smallest city in Italy, where you can head back in time to the middle ages.
