Hotel description

The Michlhaus is transforming from a historic holiday home to an exclusive guest house. Our house is just big enough that nothing is missing. But still so no for a very personal holiday. A real insider tip! Our suites are charming and simply cosy even without frills. No flickering TV, no whirring PC, no traffic noise: just peace and quiet! We only serve what we like ourselves: Aldeiner mountain bread, eggs from the Eggerhof, vegetables from the Pigleiderhof, fruit from the Thalhof, and, and, and ... 0 kilometres - 100 percent taste! Was there anything else? No! Nowhere is this more apparent than under the all-surpassing walnut tree - the heart of the meadow. Equal-mindedly and persistently, it makes the garden its favourite (h)place! Time runs even without us! Refuelling your mind in the heated mountain pool (10x3 metres) is the better option: Deliberately diving down is no art here. Nature on our doorstep is our most valuable treasure. It awaits you: the Bletterbach Gorge World Heritage Site, the railway line, 5 winter sports areas, an 18-hole golf course ... Space and time. What else do you need? Plenty of space to play and romp in sight of your loved ones and equipment suitable for children. This is how a family holiday becomes a holiday for young and old.

About the region

Enjoy both impressive views of nearby Dolomite peaks as well as a Mediterranean atmosphere. The fertile wine region of Bolzano and Environs extends from Sarntal valley via the state capital Bolzano, to Salorno/Salurn. Located at between 200 and 3,000 m above sea level, possibilities for an active holiday abound throughout the year. Holidays in Bolzano and Environs are a feast for the senses.


In the expansive southern valley, visitors can marvel at vineyards and castles, as well as apple orchards and idyllic villages. Further north, near the state capital, admire traditional mountain farms and craggy Alpine peaks. Outstanding local wines and the mouth-watering flavours and aromas of local specialities, such as asparagus and chestnuts, whet the appetite. Both peace and a flair for the dramatic are on hand in Bolzano and Environs. South Tyrol/Südtirol’s capital is a vibrant city bustling with activity, whilst nearby isolated mountain villages and quiet tributary valleys offer respite. The characteristic sounds of the mingling of Italian and German fill the streets, whilst music, theater and festivals are a feast for the eyes and ears.
