With comfortable accommodation and unforgettable views of the surrounding mountains and picturesque surroundings, we offer you the perfect setting for your holiday. Our building, built by the squires in the 17th century, is a treasure of bygone times that tells a fascinating story. The name is a tribute to St Barbara's Chapel. This is located next to the church, which rises proudly behind our building. Built in the late Gothic style on the orders of the lords and squires of Gossensass, it is a testimony to the impressive architectural history of this region.

About the region

High mountains and rich history: those who come to the Wipptal valley will quickly notice just how unique this region truly is. The cityscape of Sterzing/Vipiteno is composed of architecturally unique buildings. The narrow side valleys are surrounded by impressive peaks. The local people have a fervent love for sport. The surrounding area near the Alps is lined with striking fortress-like castles.
