A familiar ambience, built and managed by the Declara family for three generations. A close-knit family tied to their own land of origin and traditions. In recent years, the entire hotel was renovated. A comfortable and welcoming ambience, the perfect combination between modernity and tradition has been created: The large wellness centre with indoor pool, outdoor whirlpool and different types of sauna, the bar with mountain view, the lobby, and the playroom for our little guests are the perfect place to spend quality time together. In Hotel Gran Ciasa, we like to share with you our passion for our mountains and to give you the best advice about the activities that are waiting for you in Alta Badia. We are looking forward to sharing the dolomites spirit with you!

About the region

In the Dolomites Region Alta Badia, the Dolomites look so close you could reach out and touch them. The Sassongher mountain, Santa Croce peak and Sella group rise above manicured villages and ancient farms. In the "viles" (hamlets), people still speak Ladin, a language that is deeply rooted in this valley. Mountaineering has a long history here, but today Alta Badia is also synonymous with excellent cuisine. Between lodges, gourmet events and Michelin-starred restaurants, gourmands will find plenty of authentic and refined dishes to enjoy. Not to mention the slopes of the Gran Risa ski course, the hairpin bends of the Maratona dles Dolomites bicycle race, and the Armentara meadows. Each season brings new possibilities.
