María Grand & Maya Keren (CH/USA) María Grand: sax Maya Keren: piano A major all-female encounter between Geneva-born saxophonist, singer, and composer María Grand and emerging pianist Maya Keren, originally from Philadelphia and now based in Brooklyn. The compositions, almost entirely original, weave together free improvisations and hyper-precisely written music: some inspired by María’s exploration of the human subconscious, others born from purely mathematical ideas, creating a virtuosic sound reminiscent of classic “straight ahead” jazz. The duo tells stories of modern women with ancient roots, capable of unfolding in real time and revealing archetypes and futuristic wonders. The goal is never to play “correctly,” but to give free rein to experience, with all the risks and pleasures that come with it. Above all, the music focuses on what touches the human: sincere, intense, and intentional. Franco Branciaroli is the protagonist of Sior Todero Brontolon, a masterpiece by Carlo Goldoni presented in 1762 at the Teatro San Luca in Venice and received with great warmth right from its debut. Miserly, imperious, irritating with the servants, oppressive with his son and granddaughter, distrustful and touchy towards the world: it would seem impossible to empathise with Sior Todero Brontolon. Nonetheless, the indefinable ‘brontolòn’ has attracted actors of the calibre of Cesco Baseggio, Giulio Bosetti or Gastone Moschin, and it is now Branciaroli, a master of the contemporary stage, who offers an extraordinary and unexpected new interpretation directed by Paolo Valerio. It was Goldoni himself who was amazed at how a text centred on such an odious and negative character had achieved such success. Needless to say, the topicality and peculiarities of his Todero are unscathed even today. For the first time, Valerio's direction brings together Goldoni's world with that of puppets, two universes that meet in the microcosm of a real and imaginary place. A reinterpretation conducted with strict philological respect for the text and that - at the same time - brings to the stage an original intuition such as that of the puppets alongside the actors, as their alter egos. Valerio and Branciaroli are preparing to amaze the audience once again with their reinterpretation of a classic of Italian theatre, which can still suggest much to contemporary sensibilities. Just think of the subtle and decisive role that Goldoni entrusts, in the play, to the female world, the only one that in the dramaturgical development appears fully positive. And the finale of the play - at a time when the concept of “patriarchy” dominates our chronicles in its most distorted and leaden meanings - weaves a vein of disturbance into the joyfulness of the resolution. And so is the choice not to become a mother. From “It’ll happen sooner or later” to “You’ll regret it,” childless women or those who don’t intend to have children are often judged, while the “maternal instinct” is idealized and motherhood romanticized. With the most personal and intimate decision of their lives, women inevitably find themselves under public scrutiny, often losing their own voice. But what is motherhood really like? And what happens when one regrets becoming a mother? When one cannot become a mother, or when the biological clock doesn’t start ticking? In this performance, two women openly confront all the (often taboo) issues surrounding reproduction and the ability to give life: from mental load to “regretting motherhood,” from pregnancy (and abortion) to birth culture. Io.Co Show: South Tyrol's answer to American late-night shows! A sharp, entertaining, overwhelming, and always interesting show! Angelo Pintus is an Italian comedian well known for his energetic style of humor and hilarious performances. He was born on May 21, 1975, in Trieste, Italy. Pintus has gained great popularity through his theatrical performances, later broadcast on TV and platforms, and his participation in successful television programs. The Italian comedian has been able to build a solid career in the Italian comedy scene, winning over theater audiences with his charisma, likability, and undisputed talent for improvising and entertaining.

Lukas Lobis (BZ): “verwirrt” Director: Robert Palfrader Actor and cabaret artist Lukas Lobis returns to Carambolage with his successful show “verwirrt.” Through an ironic and entertaining journey, Lobis tries to untangle the confusion that grips him, encountering quirky characters and ending up in awkward situations. His path leads him to rediscover his Tyrolean roots — with a surprising conclusion. Event: Tuesday, December 9, 2025, at the Piccolo Teatro Carambolage, starting at 8:00 PM.

Peppi und die Haislraggler (BZ): “Verstopfte Weihnacht – Besinnliches Toilettenreinigen mit Peppi und die Haislraggler” Moritz Thuile: bass Markus Cappello: sax Martin Malfertheiner: cajon Felix Senoner: guitar Magdalena Oberstaller: violin Tobias Kompatscher: guitar, vocals The musical repertoire of the band Peppi und die Haislraggler – creators and so far the only representatives of the Toilet-Pop genre – consists mainly of original compositions. Their distinctive feature is the tension between ironic lyrics in dialect and a wide variety of musical styles. Even the band’s name is telling: they firmly claim to work full-time in sanitary maintenance and took up instruments only out of financial necessity – a side hustle to cover expensive Christmas shopping. Argo's story "is a “great little book” that strikes you straight to the heart. It makes you want to enter those events, uncovering the unspoken, giving voice to the silences, rediscovering History. The desire of Maria Ariis - one of the extraordinary performers in the show - has, therefore, also become mine. To translate all this on stage. Making active and emotional memory is the task of theatre. And everyone in life can meet Argo, that dog who reminds you who you are and where you come from' writes Serena Sinigaglia, director of this new play. An excellent writer and translator, Ciani experienced as a child the exodus from Pola, Istria, after the Second World War and recounts that tear with delicacy, through the separation from her dog York. York like Argo, Ulysses' dog, symbol of ‘home’, of waiting and of faithful friendship. His novel Storia di Argo has the breath of poetry, never falling into polemic or essay. Sinigaglia translates it on stage as a confrontation between generations: a grandmother who lived through the exodus, a mother who knew it from her mother, and a daughter who knows nothing about it confront each other today, in an intimate and human way, on that piece of history: the family dimension compared with the historical one, yesterday, today, tomorrow. With irreverent jokes, bizarre anecdotes, and officially approved one-liners. This text was not written with the help of artificial intelligence – and it shows. Improtheater Carambolage: “Xmas-Show” At the Christmas market, the takings are high, the inns are full, and a family of refugees from the Middle East is settled in a stable, above which the angels sing. Ah, if only improvisational theatre had existed back then! The shepherds would have staged a musical with a happy ending for Baby Jesus, Mary and Joseph would have been swept up in a storm of love, and the ox and the donkey would have been settled in a cozy little farm. Small groups of musicians from the music band Kiens/chienes enchant the streets of the 5 villages with their Christmas spirit and bring contemplative Christmas wishes.

Experience the fascinating craft of traditional blacksmithing up close! With an anvil, hammer, and glowing iron, the blacksmith demonstrates how a simple piece of metal can be transformed into unique works of art – from horseshoes and candle holders to intricate decorations. Visitors are welcome to watch, ask questions, and even take part in the process – a captivating experience for both children and adults.

Join us to celebrate the end of the year with an unforgettable event that has become a true tradition! The festivities in Colfosco will begin at 4:30 pm with a magical children’s torchlit descent – if you’d like to join, sign up at the Colfosco Ski School – followed at 5:00 pm by the impressive torchlight procession of the instructors from the Colfosco Ski School. The atmosphere will be enlivened by a DJ, and the Colfosco Fire Brigade will add even more cheer with a lottery and plenty of fun. Starting at 6:00 pm, get ready for a unique experience: a laser show will come to life, with colorful beams of light creating shapes and light displays, transforming the surroundings into an immersive and magical wonderland. Swan Lake, one of the immortal masterpieces of classical ballet, tells the story of the young Prince Siegfried and Odette, a maiden transformed into a swan by the evil sorcerer Rothbart. With its iconic music by Pëtr Il'ič Čajkovskij, the ballet depicts the drama and beauty of eternal love. In the first act, during a court celebration, Prince Siegfried is forced to choose a bride but is captivated by a mysterious flock of swans. In the second act, at the lake, he meets Odette and learns about the curse that has transformed her into a swan. In the third act, at a ball at the castle, Siegfried, deceived by Rothbart, breaks his promise to Odette. Finally, in the fourth act, the prince desperately tries to redeem his mistake, but the spell can only be broken through his sacrifice. The Ballet Company of the National Opera House of Iași, one of the most renowned classical dance companies in Europe, will perform this historic masterpiece.
