Hike to the Eisbruggsee lake in Pfunders

South Tyrol is renowned worldwide for its majestic mountains, clear Alpine lakes and idyllic walking trails. From the meeting point, we will drive together to the starting point of our excursion, located by the car park in Dun (1,480 metres). The first stretch of the route will take us along a forest path in the direction of Bodenalm, then we climb a little up to Eisbrugg, where the snow never completely melts. The large, initially flat Eisbruggtal valley will afford us a breather until we climb up to the Kröllhütte hut (2,150 metres). There we’ll begin the final ascent to the Eisbruggsee lake (2,351 metres), which is also the highest point of this excursion. The 3,000-metre peaks of the Pfunders mountains mirrored in the crystal-clear waters of the Eisbruggsee make quite a sight. The way back is along the same route.
