The Barbian Band, from the lower Eisack Valley, is one of the oldest musical ensembles in South Tyrol. Founded in 1810, it boasts a rich history spanning more than two centuries. Today, the band includes 46 active musicians and is conducted by Harald Zemmer and led by president Markus Gantioler.
A particularly striking feature of the ensemble is its strong generational diversity: about one-third of its members are under the age of 16, highlighting the importance of youth and the continued passing down of musical traditions.
Look forward to a lively concert filled with passion and heritage – where tradition and future meet in harmony.
