Every year, the Biathlon World Cup takes place in this amazing environment of the Rieserferner mountains. During the summer season you can participate at a guided tour in the building or shoot at the shot disc and run and enjoy the beautiful nature.

The longest and most challenging cross-country trail of the Seiser Alm leads out from the Cross-Country Centre in Ritsch through vast Alpine meadows in a steep uphill to the mountain station of the Panorama chairlift. Then, in numerous curves, cross the Palude di Ladins/Ladinser Moos and continue on towards Joch and Spitzbühl, past the Laurinhütte hut and back to Ritsch. With the nearby Dolomite peaks of the Langkofel, Plattkofel and the Schlern massif, the views along this trail are breathtaking.
The slope is prearranged as agonistic and training area through the beautiful woods of San Cassiano.

The cross-country skiiing trail offers you a wonderful opportunity to enjoy the winter mountain landscape in the northern part of South Tyrol. You can access the trail either from Giggelberg/Moncucco near Gossensass or from the little hamlet Ast in the Pflerschtal Valley. The trail follows the popular bicycle trail of Brenner with a steady incline and is ideal for skating, classic cross-country skiing, as well as a winter hiking path. With a length of 4 km and an elevation gain of 70 meters, the route is suitable for both beginners and experienced athletes. The trail is free to use, but there is no equipment rental available on-site and no possibiliy to stop for refreshments.

“Im Gemärk” is the German name for a pass height located at 1,530 m. Shortly before the pass, the provincial border runs between the provinces of South Tyrol and Belluno.
The “Schönfelder circular trail” has several access points and is located in Moos. With direct views of the Rotwand and the Sexten sundial. Ideally reached by public transportation (Rotwand bus stop) or, if necessary, by parking directly on site.

The Ridnauntal/Val Ridanna Circular Trail starts in Maiern/Masseria. It goes along the Fernerbach stream down the valley to the hamlet of Braunhöfen, where it goes round in a loop. This is followed by a climb up to Gasse and the Joggelehof farm, where you do a loop and then start on your way back. First you follow the same route back to Ridnaun/Ridanna; then you follow the trail in a number of loops of varying degrees of difficulty back up the valley to Maiern/Masseria.
An insider tip for cross-country skiers is the Villandro Alp at 2,000 meters above sea level, high above the village of Villanders in Eisacktal.

Medium difficult cross-country trail through the forest and along meadows.
Starting and ending point: railroad station Niederdorf/Villabassa (Camping Olympia) and back, 1154m length 7,5 km difference in altitude 86m
The wide track is well suited to skating and classic skiing, and is maintained on a daily basis. Just before and after arriving in Lazins/Lazines, there’s a trail to Zeppichl. This cross-country skiing trail is freely accessible without restrictions and has easy, medium-difficulty and challenging sections. On the way back to Pfelders/Plan (or Zeppichl) there’re a number of rapid descents, where skiers need to be on the lookout for pedestrians and oncoming cross-country skiers.
The route from Plan to the Lazinser Alm mountain pasture is rather tricky due in part to the long ascent and steep incline. But at the refuge in the wide valley basin below, one can enjoy almost effortless skiing at 680 m per lap on a 15 m run. The lap around Lazines is more challenging, at 1,336 m per lap on a 52 m run.
The 4.5 kilometer “Fischleintal circular course” runs through the Fischleintal valley. It runs in beautiful surroundings with breathtaking views of the Sexten Sundial Mountains.

The extensive and idyllic Frin meadows offer not only a great cross-country skiing route but also a magnificent panorama of the Rosengarten | Catinaccio and Latemar mountains.
The new route is suitable for beginners as well as for cross-country skiers of all ages.

There is also the possibility of cross-country skiing in Steinegg|Collepietra. The starting point for the cross-country trail is between Steinegg|Collepietra and Gummer|San Valentino behind the Egger Moos craftsmen's zone at 1,250 m above sea level.
There is the possibility of a shorter and longer loop.
In case of unfavourable temperatures, the cross-country trail may be closed prematurely.
At the foot of the majestic Sas dla Crusc in the UNESCO World Heritage Site of Fanes-Senes-Braies Nature Park we find the Armentara meadows. With breathtaking views of rare beauty and wide expanses of white snow as far as the eye can see, winter here warms hearts.
Three different cross-country skiing trails have been created in these immense meadows and can be reached within a few minutes' drive. At the hamlet of La Cialciara above Furnacia, just outside the village of La Val, there is a large car park from where, with a walk of about 20 minutes, you can reach the start of the slopes.
