    Ski tour on the Schnalstal Valley Glacier

    Note: The hike is only in German and Italian. Ski tour for beginners and slightly advanced skiers accompanied by a mountain guide. Descent on skis from the mountain station Grawand to an altitude of around 2,700 meters. From this point you start the ascent in the open terrain, which, depending on the conditions, brings the group to 3,100 m (glacier terrain). After a short rest, a descent in soft powder awaits you. The prepared valley run takes you back to the starting point of the tour to Maso Corto/Kurzras. In the case of bad weather, the tour will start from Maso Corto/Kurzras. Duration of the tour approx. 5-6 hours Difference in altitude: around 500 m in ascent Number of participants: minimum 2 persons Requirements: good skier on the slopes in good physical condition

    Discover the Schnalstal Glacier World on snow shoes
    Schnals/Senales, Vinschgau/Val Venosta
    Group ascent with the Schnalstal Valley Glacier Cable Car to 3,200 metres. We’ll cross the Hochjochferner accompanied by a mountain guide, experience the glacier in all its beauty, and learn many interesting and historical things. At the end of the glacier there is an ice cave at 2,800 m. After exploring the cave and taking a rest in this solitary alpine world, the path continues to the Schöne Aussicht Refuge and afterwards we descend to the Teufelsegghütte Mountain Hut. The Roter Kofel chair lift brings us back to Maso Corto/Kurzras around 3:30 p.m. Walking time: approx. 5-6 hours including breaks Difference in altitude: around 300 m in the ascent and 1,000 m in the descent (about 8 km distance) Number of participants: minimum 2 people (participation from 14 years) Requirement: good physical condition
