The preparations for the 3rd International Merano Tree Days, scheduled for 16, 17, and 18 June 2025 in Merano, are well underway. Esteemed researchers from across the globe will convene to share insights and discoveries. The earlier editions of this conference (held in 1995 and 1997) have been pivotal in advancing tree research and knowledge. During a herbal walk, we learn about the most important local plants and their uses. We then make a tincture and an oil extract with plant material under instruction. We then use these extracts to make various products together (e.g. lip balm, insect bite roller, ointment ...). We propose cooking lessons based on simple ingredients. You can learn about our traditional Ladin cooking linked to local traditions. In a few hours, you can learn to cook and finally enjoy some Ladin specialities. The cook speaks Italian and German. Climbing & action: climbing for children at the Rockarena Meran Climbing as an unforgettable holiday experience is what the climbing hall Rockarena Meran offers with the summer activity "Kraxln & Äktschn", targeted at children and teenagers between the ages of 6 and 14. In addition to indoor and outdoor climbing on artificial climbing walls, the focus is on fun with many climbing games and adventurous activities. The children are supervised by trained climbing instructors.

This climbing wall on Passo delle Erbe, , reached after a short walk, ist the ideal pla- ce for first attemps in a rock face. Our qualified mountain guides guarantee safety and fun. In case of bad weather, the event will be cancelled. During the course, children do not necessarily need to be supervised by their parents.

The original South Tyrolean apple strudel is baked together with the farmer's wife of the 737-year-old Schildhof farm - with shortcrust pastry and without pine nuts. The ingredients, tricks and tips will be explained. A nut strudel made from yeast dough is also made together. While the strudels bake in the oven, we enjoy a vegetable strudel together, accompanied by fresh tomato salad from the garden. Finally, the dessert is served warm from the oven.
