When late November fills the air of Molini di Tures with the scent of roasted chestnuts and mulled wine, the Saint Catherine Market brings the village to life. The traditional fair transforms the streets into a scene of music, dance, craftsmanship, and regional flavours such as cheese, speck, and honey. Among the most popular delicacies are Melchamuis, a sweet, creamy blend of milk, flour, and butter, and Schöttina Kropfn, crispy fried pastries filled with poppy seeds or chestnuts. People meet, chat, laugh, and enjoy the festive atmosphere together. What is now a beloved village celebration has deep roots: as early as the 17th century, farmers and craftsmen gathered here to sell their goods. Even today, the reading of the ancient market decree in Benjamin Square brings the past to life – a moment when history can be felt and tradition continues to thrive.

The parish of Trafoi invites you to the Trafoi Advent Market on November 23, 2025 Starting at 10:30 AM with Holy Mass in the parish church of Trafoi, with music by the Stilfs parish choir. Afterwards: - Hot soup - Homemade sausage with sauerkraut - Coffee, cakes, and Krapfen - Roasted chestnuts & mulled wine - Live music with Albert And of course, handmade Advent wreaths again this year.

The traditional monthly market is held on the market square from 8.00 am to 1.00 pm.

The church day in Schluderns is also celebrated during St Catherine's Week! It starts with a church day mass at 10.00 am in the parish church of Schluderns! This is followed by the church day festival ‘Kathrein, set the dance...’ with a traditional lunch and music from 11.00 am in the Schluderns culture centre! The volunteer fire brigade Schluderns is looking forward to your coming!

A festive procession of angels, drummers and musicians winds its way through the cobbled streets of the old town to the cathedral square, where the mayor and organisers welcome the guests – accompanied by brass musicians, a children's choir and the traditional cutting of the gingerbread.

The Tyrolean Advent in the Castle will be taking place in the historic ambience of Tyrol Castle. Tyrol Castle provides an atmospheric backdrop for a genuine South Tyrolean Christmas experience. Local exhibitors will present traditional handicrafts such as felting, pottery, turning, spinning, braiding, dyeing and the production of ceramics or jewelry in the castle's rooms. There will be a well-balanced program of events for visitors every day during Advent in the Castle: whilst crackling fires make for a cozy atmosphere, food stands will offer traditional dishes, baked goods and drinks. The Christmas market will also be attended by choirs and music groups, and there will also be all kinds of entertainment for children.

As of today, the Christmas market and the ice rink are officially open! The Christmas market is open on weekends from Friday to Sunday as well as on public holidays, while the ice rink is available for you every day. At the opening ceremony, there will be a short speech. Afterwards, the Tourist Association invites you to enjoy a small refreshment with mulled wine, Christmas cookies, and panettone. It all started with a few hardworking women who had a knack for crafting, designing, and decorating - soon the idea for a different kind of Christmas market was born. Every 2 years, the large clubhouse in Stilfes becomes a unique marketplace for (not just) Christmas decorations - nothing here is "Made in China", everything is homemade. The lovingly handcrafted products range from artistic candles and festive wreaths to unique pieces of jewelry and culinary delights. Visitors can stroll through the festively decorated hall, enjoy the warm atmosphere, and sample mulled wine or goulash soup in a cozy setting. The proceeds will go to "Südtirol hilft'", as always.
