The mysterious ‘Lech de Ciampedel’ lake

In the Vallelunga, near Selva di Val Gardena, nature still reigns supreme, and the morning’s rays of sunshine cast a dappled and sparkling spectacle on the waters of this jade-coloured meltwater lake. The lake only lasts a couple of weeks, sinking into the soil as quickly as it has appeared. This hike will lead you across the 7 km canyon-like valley right until the flowering meadow of ‘Pra da rì’ (the smiling meadow).
