Hike to the Rit meadows, a hidden gem in the Dolomites

Excursion to the Crusc de Rit cross with stunning view on the hiking village La Val.

La Val is the most characteristic and peaceful village of Alta Badia. Situated on the meadows overlooking the Sas de Pütia, here you can still breathe the rural air that once hung over the entire Dolomites. This excursion starts from Biei, a small hamlet of the village, to reach the Rit meadows, marked by the Crusc da Rit cross, the destination of the excursion. From here you can enjoy spectacular views not only of the village of La Val, but also of the surrounding mountains, such as Sas dla Crusc, with the peaks of Sas dales Nü and Sas dales Diesc, and Sas de Pütia. A way to discover and contemplate the beauty of the Dolomites from a secluded, somewhat fairy-tale perspective.

Itinerary: Biei - Lech da Rit biotope lake - Crusc da Rit (2021 m) - Ütia da Rit hut - Ramëi

Meeting: 8.30 a.m. La Val Tourist Office (shuttle service to Biei - included in the price)
Return: approx. 3.00 p.m. (shuttle service from Raimëi - included in the price)

Distance: approx. 7 km
Walking: approx. 3,5 hours
Lunch: packed lunch

Domestic animals and strollers are not allowed.

The guide speaks Italian and German.

    Everything you need to know

    Tourist Office La Val - Str. San Senese 1
    Follow the SS244 Val Badia road towards Pederoa and continue on road SP60 to La Val until you reach the tourist office in Str. San Senese 1, where you have the possibility to park.

    In order to encourage sustainable mobility, choose environmentally friendly means of transportation, such as public transport.
    Reach the meeting point by bus: bus stop La Valle, La Valle - line 464.

    Bring the confirmation of the reservation (also in digital format). For a safe mountain hike, it is necessary that you wear appropriate hiking shoes as well as sportswear suitable for the weather conditions and take mountain sticks with you. Remember to pack a backpack with your essentials: a water bottle, sunscreen, a cap, a wind and rain jacket, energy snacks and a packed lunch to recharge your batteries along the way.
    The refund will be made with a medical certificate or if the event is cancelled by the Alta Badia Tourism Cooperative.
