The Puez hut was built in 1889 by the Austro-German section of the Alpenverein. After the First World War it passed to the Bolzano section of the CAI which, in 1940, handed it over to the well-known alpine guide Pietro Costa, an expert ski instructor and passionate hunter. Costa ran the hut until 1989 and then passed the helm to his children Oscar and Gemma. With the passing of the years and the explosion of high-altitude tourism, needs changed. In order to adapt to the times, the CAI decided to build a new, larger and more modern hut next to the old building. Thus it was that on 8th August 1982, in the presence of the then President of the Republic Sandro Pertini, the new Puez Refuge was inaugurated. In 2024 the Puez hut passed into the hands of the next generation and is now managed by Costa Denis, Pietro Costa's grandson. Assisted by his wife and two daughters, Denis carries on his grandfather's legacy with love and passion.

Our mountain hut is located at 1905 m at the Juac alp, above Selva in Val Gardena. Embedded in fresh meadows, our hut is the ideal place to relax and to escape the stress. Just lay back, enjoy the fresh air, our traditional dishes and the amazing view of the sourrounding mountains of Val Gardena. Ambiente The hut is pretty easy to reach by foot and by bike. For passionate hikers, mountain bikers or climbers the hut, for ist ideal location close by the Puez-Odle Natural Park, can be used as a perfekt starting point for walks and excursions. The Neidia Schwaige mountain hut, lying at 2000 m, belongs to the Puze farm in S. Cristina. The most important thing for us is to ensure that all our dishes are freshly prepared with our own farm products.

Panorama Hut is situated in Selva di Val Gardena near the Passo Gardena at an altitude of 2130 meters. Reachable in 5 minutes from the middle station of the cable car Dantercëpies and in 30 minutes from Passo Gardena. Tyrolean specialties, homemade cakes, sun terrace, children‘s playground.
