Elena Walch’s vinotheque is a special centre of attraction for all lovers of fine wines. Here you can taste our wines and take a few of them home with you if you wish. Our restaurant in the centre of Termeno offers an elegant ambience to feel comfortable in. Vinus the wine shop in the historic center of Bressanone has established itself since 1998 as the most outstanding address for the successful combination of wine bar and kitchen. Peter Kantioler was able to marry a perfectly good glass of wine with the traditional local and the Mediterranean cuisine. Food lovers are spoiled every Wednesday and Friday (dinner) and every Saturday for lunch. In summer you can take advantage of the garden, the only one of its kind in Bressanone. Renovated 3 years ago calls just to enjoy a glass of fine wine chosen by an extensive wine list. We invite you to submit to a test and come visit us at Vinus.

The H. Lentsch Winery is nestled between mountains and orchards bordered by olive trees and ancient cypresses in the sunny south of South Tyrol. About half of the 20 hectares of the old estate are vineyards which thrive in optimal conditions thanks to their location on a large alluvial cone. Here, porous porphyry soil, which stores heat during the day and releases it again at night, and natural ice holes, create a unique, natural microclimate. Cabernet Franc, Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Syrah and the classic Lagrein find ideal growing conditions on the warm, sandy and stony soils. In harmony with the natural conditions, the vines have been carefully and laboriously tended and cultivated by hand for generations. Guided visits and wine-tasting at any time by appointment.

Kuppelrain is framed by trees and shrubs, you will find us directly at the small cozy station of Castelbello which has been modernized lately. Our proven team is still from Chef Jörg Trafoier and sommelier Sonya. Since the spring of 2013, is son Kevin Trafoier in the kitchen next to the stove and Jörg has his own style complements the creative dishes of our house and further developed. For some time, daughter Natalie Trafoier is now fully entered the family business. As a trained pastry chef and Patissière can expand our extensive range in our Bistrot perfect. Our gourmet restaurant - awarded 1 Michelin star - is open in the evening from 19 PM. Reservation required!

With 224 members and 350 hectares of cultivation area in Gries, San Maurizio, Settequerce, S. Giorgio, Cologna, Santa Maddalena, Coste, S. Giustina, and Renon: the great strengths of the Bolzano Winery is its diversity. So in the higher locations that range up to 1,000 meters, Sauvignon Blanc and Gewürztraminer dominate, while at the medium elevations, it is Schiava. Further down, Cabernet and Merlot are planted, with Lagrein in the valley areas. The wines are made in the winery building with its futuristic appearance.

In narrowest terms, the Bolzano Winery is relatively young. It was launched in 2001 but is actually the result of a merger between the much older, established Bolzano wineries of Gries and Santa Maddalena. For that reason, tradition holds a major emphasis from the members, as does managing their often steep vineyards in a sustainable manner that is close to nature. “Working the soils and grapevines in a gentle manner is an important matter to our winegrowers,” says President Philipp Plattner.

In the meantime, the caution and prudence does not stop in the vineyard, but continues on in the winery. It is the first one in all of Italy to have been awarded the “KlimaHaus Wine” quality seal for energy efficiency and sustainability. Even in the winery, the focus is on slowing things down. That is where winemaker Stephan Filippi wields the baton and explains, “Because the processing takes place according to the principle of gravitation, the grapes are transformed in the most gentle way.” The result is unique, unmistakable quality wines. And great variety which in and of itself is worth a closer look.
