Locally produced products simply taste better! Fresh vegetables and fruits, eggs, spices, cheese, honey, wine, juice….and many more quality products cultivated and produced in Kaltern are being sold from 8 am to noon on the Square of the town. Come by and experience the taste of nature. All these products have been produced and are being sold by the local farmers themselves. In a matter of fact South Tyrol enjoys of a very good reputation as far as the production of quality products is concerned. Thanks to the accurate cultivation methods and the strict hygenic regulations there is no doubt that these goods are of the highest quality and of the best taste.

The Franz Gojer winery is a small family business whose history begins in the heart of the traditional St. Magdalen wine-growing area on the northern sides of Bolzano. In 2007, the family bought a second farm in Karneid in order to also offer white wine in the assortment. A large cellar was also built in Karneid, where all the production of the wines now takes place, as well as an architecturally interesting tasting room. During a wine tasting, you will learn more about the history of the Gojer family as well as their work throughout the year and taste the wines full of character, which unmistakably demonstrate their origin. Fresh, aromatic farmhouse bread - a not ordinary experience for the senses. During this excursion on the Marlengo mountain you will get an impression into the everyday life on a mountain farm. After a stop at the „Tschigg“, where you will be introduced to the various self-made products, we continue to „Kurzhof“. There the farmer will explain how an original grain mill works before we conclude to the „Hoferhof“, where we will taste fresh bread and other home-made products. The sunny mountain slope from Bozen up to the Ritten is one of the finest wine-growing areas in South Tyrol. Along the wine steps, the 10 artistic installations offer a fascinating glimpse into the culture of wine production. From Signat the trail leads downhill through the gently rolling vineyards to the viewing platform with its magnificent views of Bozen, then on to the Loosmannhof, to the settlement of St. Justina and down to Rentsch in the historic wine-growing estate of Ansitz Waldgries. The same route leads back uphill from Bozen to Signat.

Local producers from Tisens and the surrounding area sell their homemade goods and regional products with love and craftsmanship at the Tisner Bauern- & Handwerksmarkt (Tisner Farmers' & Crafts Market) on the Town Hall Square in the centre of Tisens. For example, in addition to seasonal fresh vegetables and fruit, you can also find eggs, juices, bread, cheese and wooden objects. Just come by, browse and taste while talking shop with the exhibitors.

Every Wednesday we meet us in the farm of the Schildhof Obergereuth. Together we prepare South Tyrolean bread with spices and wheat from our farm. While the dough is rising and resting, we visit the wheat field and our mill from 1831. The bread and three recipes are taken home. While the bread is baking in the oven, we dedicate ourselves to lunch: a generous and varied platter of cheeses from the organic cheese dairies Aignerhof and Schupferhof, various types of bread from our farm and our medlar jelly. From 23 to 26 May 2024, the new schenna e.motion event will be all about electric mobility and enjoyment. In addition to excursions with electric vehicles to the most beautiful places in South Tyrol, there will be a special supporting programme with an e-test and safety day in Bolzano, a tour of an e-plant, high-class enjoyment evenings and much more.

ONLY IN GERMAN OR ITALIAN How is honey made, how is a bee colony organised and why are these busy insects that never seem to get tired so important for us? This guided tour into the world of bees and beekeepers provides the answers to questions like these and more. Expert Christian Kessler from the Partschins Beekeeping Association give an overview of the lives of these hard-working little pollinators, show how they work in the open beehive and the amazing social behaviour of bees, and explain how honey gets from the flower to a jar with the “Made in South Tyrol” brand label on it. Equipped with the right protective clothing, participants can marvel at and literally get to grips with the inner life of the bee hive at close quarters. The guided tour also explains the role that the beekeeper plays, what exactly he does and how his activities must be strictly aligned to the course of the bees’ year. Afterwards, participants can discover the outstanding quality of South Tyrolean honey for themselves by tasting various types of honey.
