As the way to someone’s heart is through his stomach, we at the “Alter Schlachthof” select our products almost exclusively from local farmers and selected suppliers from the immediate vicinity. Because only using fresh, natural and high-quality ingredients, we are able to create dishes for you which are delicious and healthy at the same time. This applies to South Tyrolean classics as well as forays into the international cuisine, vegetarian and vegan variations and titbits which are suitable for guests with food intolerances.

We delight our guests with our delicious dishes inspired from the traditional South Tyrolean cuisine with Mediterranean influence, consisting mainly of our high quality agricultural products. You can fish yourself trout and rainbow trout in our natural pond. The meat and the milk from our cows, calves and sheep that spend the whole summer on the mountain pasture, is healthy and very tasty. Fresh salads and all kind of vegetables and fruit come directly from our garden. The remaining milk is processed within our farm to tasty cheese specialities.

The excellent selection of wines, the particular environment and the warm atmosphere, but also the personal advice and care hospitality seduce you with moments of pleasure for body and soul. Our dishes embrace the philosophy slowfood in all its variety, we combine local and international wines to culinary delights. A hot specialty for example is our Coffee Nutè - a coffee with Nutella. With our offers of cold coffee our customers love Coffee Orange and Coffee Amaretto. 3 distinct blends to taste including dewaxed or 100% Arabica. We also have the sale of coffee. Seasonal juices like Dissetante and traditional ones like Energy. Fresh citrus juices. Of course we have aperitifs such as Rudy Spritz, Hugo, Pomegranate Spritz, Peach Melba Spritz and selected white and red wines. To eat we offer yoghurt produced in the area with Müsli and fruit, croissants that follow the customers' tastes and small dishes for the small hunger, ice cream cups and fresh cakes every day.

The pub is located directly at the valley station of the gondola lift Plose: In winter at the end of the Trametsch downhill run and the RudiRun toboggan run - in summer at the end of the mountaincarts route. The large sun terrace invites you to take a comfortable break in winter and summer.

Vinus the wine shop in the historic center of Bressanone has established itself since 1998 as the most outstanding address for the successful combination of wine bar and kitchen. Peter Kantioler was able to marry a perfectly good glass of wine with the traditional local and the Mediterranean cuisine.
