Get out into nature, do something good and meet inspiring people – that’s what awaits you on our CleanUP Tour on Saturday, 20 September, as part of the SÜDTIROL CleanUP Days! Together with the Summit Foundation, we’ll start at the Karersee car park and hike up to Franzin Alm. Along the way, we’ll collect litter and help preserve the beauty of our mountain landscapes. At the hut, we’ll enjoy an inspiring talk by Eleonore Eisath from Eggen. Eleonore is a product designer working on circular packaging solutions – with her project “beworm”, for example, or as Innovation Lab Lead at the Frankfurt-based company MILK. After the talk, we’ll toast together with an aperitif before returning to the car park around 5:00 pm, where we’ll weigh the collected waste. Along the way we’ll take a relaxed picnic break – feel free to bring some snacks to share, a drink and a blanket! Sharing is Caring! A special hike along an almost forgotten trail: the ancient hunter’s path leads us through quiet, remote mountain landscapes once known only to hunters. Nature, history, and solitude blend into a deep and meaningful experience, far from the beaten track – guided by Giorgio, who knows this hidden route inside out.

The cattle return from the alpine pastures to the valley and Sesto celebrates! The cows in particular are elaborately decorated on their return from the alpine pastures: the leading cow and the cows that follow her wear wreaths decorated with sayings, images of saints and elaborate embroidery. The Almabtrieb is combined with a festival to celebrate the safe return of the animals.

On September 21st, the traditional Matië market takes place in Ortisei. If 21 September falls on a Sunday, the market takes place on Saturday.

“Morning is the golden hour”. Never a truer word was said, as you’ll see when you get to the Rosszahnscharte ridge high above the Seiser Alm and behold the glow of early-morning light over the Dolomites at dawn. A shuttle service will take you to the Seiser Alm. Together with the mountain guide, you hike towards Panorama and, later, cross the slopes of the Goldknopf at the foot of the Rosszahnscharte ridge. A narrow hiking trail then winds upwards in a steep ascent to the Rosszahnscharte ridge (2,499 m), for the breath-taking beauty of the sunrise. Just a few minutes’ walk from here will take you to the Tierser Alpl mountain refuge, where you can recharge your batteries for the descent with a mountain breakfast. Local clubs and organizations will set up interactive booths along the street, offering fun and engaging activities for all ages. At each booth, participants can collect a stamp. Those who collect all stamps will be entered into a raffle with great prizes! Join us for a fun-filled, car-free day for the whole family! For the thirth season the Nigerstrasse at the foot of the magnificent Rosengarten mountain will be reserved for hikers and cyclists this year on two Sundays (15th June 25 & 21th September 25) from 08.30 a.m. till 4 p.m. During this period of time, the road will be closed for automobiles and motorcycles. The cableways from Welschnofen / Nova Levante and Tiers / Tires will take all visitors to the Nigerstrasse. At the same time, inns and refreshment stops along the way will be serving a variety of culinary delicacies. The finest outdoor cuisine awaits you at the Tschein restaurant. A horse-drawn carriage runs every half hour between Franzin Alm and Malga Frommer - timetable. E-bikes can be rented directly from the local bike rental shops upon registration and payment. At the same time, families can take advantage of the Family Sundays: All families (2 adults and 2 children) are entitled to unlimited rides on the six summer aerial lifts in Carezza – for just 44 Euros. On Sunday, June 15th e September 15th, the Nigerstraße at the foot of the Rosengarten is reserved for hikers and cyclists. From 8:30 AM to 4:00 PM, the road will be closed to cars and motorbikes. The cable cars from Welschnofen (Nova Levante) and Tiers (Tires) will bring all visitors car-free to the Nigerstraße, where the guesthouses along the road will serve regional culinary delights. A horse-drawn carriage will shuttle between Franzin Alm and Frommer Alm every 30 minutes from 10:00 AM to 4:00 PM. E-bikes can be rented from local bike rental shops by reservation and for a fee. An Outdoor Kitchen awaits you at Restaurant Tschein. At the same time, the Carezza Family Sunday takes place: 2 adults and 2 children can enjoy unlimited rides on all 6 summer lifts in Carezza for only 44 euros. Today Badia celebrates the traditional "segra dl paisc", a festival for the whole village! The day begins with a solemn mass in the church, followed by the traditional cattle homecoming at 3.00 p.m. Of course, there are also culinary specialities and musical entertainment.
