Living heritage of the Dolomites The travelling exhibition with 20 impressive panels was designed for the 50th anniversary of the Schlern-Rosengarten Nature Park. The open-air exhibition shows pictures of the impressive landscape of the nature park and the diversity of flora and fauna. The exhibition also tells of the beginnings of the mountain refuges and of the people who live and work in the nature park.

Adventure, adrenalin and breath-taking views: all this lies store for you in the exciting 4 Peaks Alta Badia challenge. The aim of this challenge is to conquer the four summits Sas dla Crusc - Santa Croce 2,907 m, Piza dales Diesc - Cima Dieci 3,02 6m, Lavarela 3,055 m and Conturines 3,064 m, on the edge of the Fanes-Senes-Braies Nature Park in the Dolomites UNESCO World Heritage. The ascent of these four mountains is to be attempted only by experienced climbers, as these peaks cannot be reached just on easy, well-sign-posted paths, but also via routes with some very exposed sections. As proof of your achievement you will have a pass which must be stamped every time you reach one of the four summits. All those who manage to complete the challenge in two or more days will have the title “Alta Badia Finisher” conferred upon them. If you manage to complete the ascent of all four summits in one day you will be crowned with the coveted and highly deserved title of “Alta Badia Mountaineer”. In both cases you will take up your place of honour in the “Wall of Fame” which can be viewed online.

The exhibition NATURAL ELEMENTS, taking place from May 31 to October 19, 2025, in Seis am Schlern, presents a selection of works by Ahrntal artist Alois Steger.

Working with multimedia, the artist, together with curator Eva von Ingram Harpf, has selected seven artworks for the village center of this Dolomite village, which integrate symbiotically into the historical setting.

Created from natural elements and materials, the works are designed to gradually change over the course of the exhibition due to weathering.

We organise a trip (one-way) to the neighbouring Val Gardena to Ortisei/St. Ulrich every Wednesday until the beginning of October. In Ortisei everyone is free to decide how to spend the day. Our suggestion is a hike back to Villnöss valley. Hiking suggestions TOUR 1: Ascent with the Seceda cable car until the middle station. From there walk on trail no. 5 leading to hut Brogles Alm (ca. 400 m height difference). Continue on the Adolf Munkel Trail until reaching the meadows of Gschnagenhardt (no. 35 & 34) and via the hut Dusleralm to Zans (no. 36). Alternatively, you can also descend from the hut Brogles Alm via trail no. 28 to Ranui. Attention: Panascharte is closed! TOUR 2: Ascent with the funicular Resciesa. From there via trail no. 35 to the hut Brogles Alm. Continue via the Adolf Munkel Trail to Zans (no. 35 & 6). lternatively, you can also descend from the hut Brogles Alm via trail no. 28 to Ranui. The fire brigades of the Val Gardena villages offer exciting insights into their work. Several stations will showcase vehicles, equipment, and modern tools such as the ladder truck, drone, hand-held water pump, and fire engine.

This walk is an absolute must for all those who have fallen in love with the unique world of flowers on Seiser Alm. Countless spring crocuses transform the Alm into a shimmering sea of lilac. In this region of flowers, delicate anemones mingle with snowdrops, primulas and the golden blossom of rock rose, the sky-blue gentian and the rose-pink striped daphne. And then the meadow grasses sprout up, interspersed with wild orchids, fringed pink, brunella, arnica, lilies, globeflowers and, and, and… A paradise of flowers unlikely to be found anywhere else on Earth.
