From the playground, follow the E5 path towards Colle dei Signori/Herrenkohlern, from where you can admire a wonderful 180° panorama that sweeps from the Mendola/Mendel to San Genesio/Jenesien, the Forcella Sarentina/Sarner Scharte and the Corno del Renon/Rittner Horn. The little church dedicated to St. Mary was built in 1744. Pass the houses and walk along the forest road to the crossing with trail no. 6. Turn right and walk through the green woods until you come to path no. 5 in the direction of Titschenwarte, the wonderful viewpoint over the Dolomites, which you reach in about 20 minutes. After a short break admiring the Sciliar/Schlern, the Catinaccio/Rosengarten group, the Latemar and the Pala di Santa/Zanggen, leave the little house and follow path no. 5A towards Schneiderwiesen where you can enjoy lunch or a snack. Return to the cable car following trail no. 1.
The malga Sattlerhütte is a very beautifully situated, rustic pasture below the Möltner Kaser. They offer good and tipical tirolean food, a playground for children and a sun terrace.
The hike can be done at any time of the year: in winter as a snowshoe tour, in autumn - when the larches turn yellow-gold, in the summer because of the lush green meadow and especially in spring, when the alpine meadows turn into a flowering sea of crocuses and other spring flowers.
Mölten is embedded in mountain meadows and oriented towards the sun and the mountain Tschögglberg. It is centrally located and only a short drive away from Meran and Bozen.

The Hufeisentour is a seven-day-lasting mountain trail in the Alpes of Sarntal. The route proceeds through the heart of South Tyrol along alpine areas, meadows, traditional alpine huts, peaks and yokes. You walk on unbeaten tracks and natural paths. As well as wounderful and unforgettable views on the UNESCO world natural heritage, the Dolomites, the Zillertaler Alps, the Stubaier Alps, the Ötztaler Alps and the Mountain Ortler in the Brenta Group are waiting for you.
The classical Hufeisentour starts in the eastern Alps of Sarntal at Sarnthein and contains 7 to 8 stages, running in counterclockwise rotation. Of course you can walk into the other direction as well or start at other starting points, for example at Mölten. Here you walk onto the stone cairns "Stoanerne Mandln" and can decide if to walk to the starting point Sarnthein or to the area Meran 2000 (opposite direction).
Trail no.1- Suitable for pushchairs. Jenesien, departure from the sportsground on trail no. 33 or trail no.1. Walk along trail no. 1 or the E5 European long-distance walking trail trough the hilly landscape offered by the Salten, to then reach the little church of St. Jacob and Langfenn. Our Hikers' bus can drive xou back to Jenesien. Duration of the excursion: 2 hours and 30 minutes - Drop/rise: 440 m
From the parking of Schneiderwiesen, follow trail no. 1 initially and then trail no. 6 to the right through the green woods until you come to trail no. 5 towards Titschenwarte, the Dolomite viewpoint, which can be reached in about 20 minutes. After a short break where you can admire the Sciliar/Schlern, the Catinaccio/Rosengarten group, the Latemar and the Pala di Santa/Zanggen leave the little house behind you and follow path no. 5A for a short distance, after a few minutes’ walk turn left following path no. 5B towards Monte Pozza/Titschen. A little further on you can admire some ruins: this is the FLAK post placed there by the Wehrmacht (German Armed Forces) of the Third Reich during the Nazi occupation (1943 - 1945) to counter the allied air raids that attempted to bomb the main lines of communication and the war industries of the so-called Operationszone Alpenvorland. Follow the cemented road and then trail no. 1 in the direction of Totes Moos. Turn right at the biotope and follow trail no. 1A, keeping the pond on the left and the forest road on the right. The little path leads up to the Sasso Rosso/Rotenstein overhang, where you can see the Adige Valley and the villages of Appiano/Eppan, Caldaro/Kaltern and Laives/Leifers. Return to the biotope on the same trail and then continue along trail no. 1 in direction Schneiderwiesen until the junction with trail no. 1B, which turns left and leads to the Parete Rossa/Rotwand viewpoint. Continue along trail no. 1B until it joins trail no. 1 that leads to Schneiderwiesen.
The romanesque church St.Jakob on the Langfenn is positioned on the most visible and on the highest point of the Salto (1525m). The church stands on prehistoric ground and could tell us probabely many interesting and exciting historical things. On the altar we can see Saint Jakob, the protector of all hikers, and on his side the two Patrons of the pest, Rochus and Sebastian..

Continue in the direction of Wölflhof, where you can take a break and eat local specialities and traditional dishes. Then take trail no. 2 through old forests in the direction of Bauer im Walde. Follow the path to Röllhof and from there take trail no. 8 back to Colle dei Signori/Herrenkohlern and then return to the cable car along the E5.

From Klaushof follow the path nr. 3 first on an asphalted road and shortly afterwards on a footpath in the direction of La Costa/Seit, which leads to a wonderful viewpoint over Bolzano right below the Telecom antennas. Lunch possibility at Köhlhof (Saturday and Sunday). Cross the road and follow the stone path 3A up to Schneiderwiesen where you can stop for a break. From here, continue along trail no. 6 through the woodland until you reach trail no. E5. Take trail E5 towards Colle dei Signori/Herrenkohlern and return to the cable car.

E5 to Colle dei Signori/Herrenkohlern, from where you can enjoy a wonderful 180° panorama of the Mendola/Mendel, San Genesio/Jenesien, the Forcella Sarentina/Sarner Scharte and Corno del Renon/Rittner Horn. Follow trail no. 7 to return to Bad St. Isidor where you can enjoy a good lunch or a traditional snack.

The Malga Lingeralm is located above the village Meltina in the middst of the sunny high plateau Salto. From here you have a excellent panoramic-view. For small and large is provided with a large sun terrace and a small children's playground with swing. Typical South Tyrolean dishes and cakes are offered.

The walk near the city provides visitors with countless breath-taking views and can be recommended at all times of the year. Even in deepest winter there are plenty of opportunities for observing nature, as the local microclimate ensures that it is exceptionally mild here throughout the year. We’re always surrounded by a thriving natural environment and, although the promenade is artificially laid out and has been landscaped in many places, this is nevertheless a retreat where unspoilt nature can be enjoyed.

The walk is pleasant, but slightly ascending, along meadows and forests.
On the Möltner Kaser tipical Soouth Tirolean dishes are waiting for you. It is a mountain pasture farm, situated in a beautiful location below the "Stoanerne Mandln". Especially in summer you can discover a lot, when the cattle, sheep and haflinger horses graze on the pastures.
The hike starts by the car park Kampidell. You pass the alpine hut Jenesier Jöchl and reach finally the Putzerkreuz. The Putzerkreuz is already located on the side of Val Sarentino. Here you have the possibility to stop, to have a meal and to visit the small chapel near the hut. The hike runs largely on a slightly wide path located between wide meadows, which are lined with larch trees
You can reach the Locher restaurant going along trail no. 33a. Walk along trail no. 5 and you will come to the Kreuzerweiher Lake. From here, follow trail no. 6 until you reach the Altenberg/Flak belvedere. Walk along trails no. 11 and no. 5 to come back to the Messner restaurant and then continue on trail no. 5 and 9 until you reach Bozen. You will get to the old Gries parish church. Duration of the excursion: 3 hours and 05 minutes - Drop/rise: 306m 1,000m
