My name is Karl Heinz Windegger, born in 1962. I live in Lana (South Tyrol) and run a small fruit farm. In 2005 I attended my first woodturning course in Val d'Ultimo.
Today I exclusively produce unique items from local woods such as apple - walnut - cherry - ash - alder - cedar - Swiss stone pine and other woods. The assortment ranges from spinning tops, tea lights, jewellery, decorative objects, to bowls, vases, globes, salt and pepper mills and much more. If you are interested in taking a look at my woodturning workshop, visit me in my workshop and experience the craft at first hand. In my small farm shop I have exhibited all the unique items I have made.
Wood carving has a long tradition in South Tyrol‘s Gardena Valley – around 1700, poor farmers took up wood carving as an additional source of income during hard winter months.
This tradition is still alive and we are proud to present our own wood carving enterprise:

Wood carvings of all types are produced in the world famous village of Selva in the beautiful Val Gardena in South Tyrol. We present a wide range of Val Gardena wood carvings : traditional Nativity scenes, the modern Rowi Nativity, the stylised Leonardo crib, secular wooden figures, saints, angels, the Madonna, golf players; carvings of all kinds as well as modern wooden figures.
