What does „upcycling” actually mean?
Upcycling is taking an item that is no longer needed or wanted and giving it a new life as something that is useful and creative and therefore of higher quality and value than mere recycling.

Hence WIANUI sees itself as a way of living which is less heavy on our resources, more in harmony with our environment and is in contrast to the way our society acts by throwing away everything.

The Gaidra weaving mill is a thriving artisanal textile company based in Pederoa in Alta Badia in the Dolomites. We are custodians of the finest weaving tradition and use advanced technology to improve and optimize the production of our fabrics. We produce linen, cotton, and wool fabrics. Our activity begins with fabric design and ends with direct sales from the finished product. Alongside the manufacturing facility, you will find a store with all custom-made textile products for the home. Additionally, in the Gaidra HOME showroom showcases upholstered furniture,  completing our range of furnishings.

You cross the threshold in semi-darkness, turning your back on the traffic of the city, and suddenly there comes the surprise: you are in the Dolomites, among majestic peaks and green pastures. This is the magic of Panopticum, the entrance to the Thuniversum, with striking views of the beauties of South Tyrol projected on huge screens on the walls. After diving into nature, your eyes will be delighted by other beauties: the Thun creations, exhibited in the various rooms of the shop, range from table decorations to the celebration of the most special occasions such as weddings, anniversaries and Christmas. And don’t forget the hand-painted Limited Editions ceramic dedicated to THUNIVERSUM. This is a veritable explosion of colours, gentle curves and enveloping fragrances that guide you in discovering the many worlds of THUN.

"Nadel da mont", this is what this unique Christmas market, with mountain village character in Selva Val Gardena is called. The idyllic village of Selva is located in the heart of the Dolomites and offers endless ski fun thanks to the connection to the ski carousel "Sellaronda". From the 7th of December to the 6th of January a touch of slope flair will be brought into the village center of Selva. Original Christmas cabins will be floating over many luminous huts and creating a magical Christmas world that can be experienced with all senses.

My name is Johanna and I run the Hoferhof farm in Vellau, above Algund, together with my husband Armin. We are an organic vegetable farm and also have a few sheep. Some of the sheep's wool we use comes from our own sheep. We are very proud to be able to produce our own farm products.

Val Gardena is renown, it is said to be a special and magical valley. Nestled in the heart of the Dolomites, this picturesque part of South Tyrol is covered with green woods, serene alpine meadows and embraced by impressive vertical mountain landscapes. For centuries men and women in this valley have developed and perfected a unique ability; that of artisan wood carving. This tradition remains part of local culture today. Top quality materials are hand shaped in sacred and secular sculptures. Sonia Demetz lends to this story with her personal touch; as she draws the figures, and as a final touch, she then hand color-paints each one of them. Sonia’s remarkable skill of wood painting was learned from her mother, in turn, passed down from generations. Today, Sonia continues this artisan tradition with a never-ending commitment and deep passion to make each of her carvings one of a kind.
