There are only a few experts left who know the traditional method of making butter, and Christian Leitgeb is one of them. He will take you to his farm, the Eggerhöfe, to show you how butter is made. You will learn more about this regional and sustainable productand a fter a demonstration, sample the homemade butter on some freshly baked bread.

The famouse mountain run from Sesto to the Rifugio Locatelli on Saturday 13 of September will take place for the 28th time. The original route takes the maximum of 1000 participants over 17 kilometres with an elevation profile of 1333 metres on perfectly signed paths from Sesto through the stunning mountains of the Sesto Dolomites to the finish at the Rifugio Antonio Locatelli, just below the three impressive peaks that are known all over the world.

No registration is needed, and there’s no set starting point—just follow the route counterclockwise and enjoy the experience. The traffic-free roads around the Sella Group offer a unique thrill: cycling in the peaceful embrace of the Dolomites. The tour covers 53 km with a total elevation gain of 1,600 meters, but everyone is free to set their own pace, take breaks, or stop at any time. The event will take place on June 7th and September 13th, with road closures from 8:30 AM to 4:00 PM. During the event, photos and videos may be taken for documentation and promotional purposes. All four Dolomite passes around the Sella massif (Passo Gardena, Passo Campolongo, Passo Pordoi and passo Sella) are closed from 8.30 a.m. to 4.00 p.m. to motor vehicles on this day, leaving the roads entirely free to cyclists. A unique chance to enjoy the freedom of these Alpine roads on your bicycle. Participation is open to everybody and completely free of charge. Start is at the Nives Square in Selva Val Gardena.

The enduro.tirol Tour is an all-mountain experience for all bikers who love mountain biking - since 2022, the enduro.tirol Tour has been held in the best MTB regions of Tyrol and South Tyrol. The enduro races run uphill, downhill, over hill and dale and also cross alpine terrain.
From September 13 to 14, 2025, the enduro.tirol Tour will also make a tour stop at Kronplatz this year.

There will also be an entertainment for the children who can play “Flaschen ziehen”. Like every year there will be the “lucky dip” at the firefighter station Umes.

On the car-free day, the mountain pass road is reserved entirely for cyclists and hikers! The road is closed to traffic from 10:30 a.m. to 3:45 p.m. Cyclists and pedestrians can enjoy the route freely and safely. There are several refreshment stops along the way, perfect for a relaxing break. Tip: At the Biathlon Centre, a free e-bike rental is available (Huski Rental) – note: limited availability!

We are deeply attached to our Ladin traditions and we would like to give them as much value as we can. That is why we want to introduce you to our traditional music. And where better than in a mountain hut? The Dolomite peaks will be the setting for a concert by a local music group. The magnificent woodlands of Alta Badia were deeply affected by the Vaia storm in 2018, which toppled countless trees across the mountains. Since then, the bark beetle—a pest that targets spruce trees—has spread rapidly, increasing tree mortality by up to 200% in some Alpine areas. September 14 will be a day of unity and action. Together with local residents, visitors, businesses, and nature enthusiasts, we will plant new trees with WOWnature to help restore and regenerate these forests. Thanks to the support of people like you, thousands of trees have already been planted. But our work is not finished. With WOWnature, we aim to continue for as long as the mountains need us and as long as people and companies are willing to contribute. We will plant not only spruces, but also birches, alders, larches, and other broadleaf species to help create a more diverse and resilient ecosystem—better able to withstand pests, disease, and climate change. Interested in visiting one of our characteristic farmsteads? The Moarhof farm in the hamlet of Obergoste invites you to take a tour of its barn, stables, petting zoo and dairy farm. Following the tour, you can savour some farm products such as milk, butter, yoghurt, cheese, smoked sausages called „Kaminwurzen“ and bacon.
